The four routes for creating cards

There are four routes for getting cards in, and which is fastest depends on the stack in front of you.

• Single card: search, set the attributes, create. For a few unsorted cards.
• By set: work through a set’s list, keyboard shortcuts set condition and language, “B” skips, “V” goes back, “C” creates the same card again with different attributes.
• Bulk: a quantity per rarity for a whole set, with prices coming from your template.
• Import a file: everything captured elsewhere comes in as a CSV or spreadsheet file.

The file import in short

In the “Listing & Appraisal” view, “Import a file” leads through four steps: upload the file, check the recognised columns, “Import data”, and only “Publish to Cardmarket” actually lists. Rejected rows come back as their own CSV with the reason. The one trap sits in step three: if language and condition are missing from the file, PowerTools silently sets them to English and Near Mint.

Pricing and the pricing bot

Prices sit per row and can be set by hand or prefilled from templates. Above that sit two subscription features: automatic pricing, which sets prices by rules, and the pricing bot, which keeps adjusting them. Both are locked in the free version; listing itself is not.

What the free version can do

More than the name suggests, with clear limits.

• All four creation routes, including the file import.
• Publishing up to 50 new changes a day.
• Locked are the CSV export of the stock, automatic pricing and the pricing bot.
• There is also a seven-day trial. The subscription has tiers measured by revenue.

Where CardEntry docks on

CardEntry does not replace PowerTools, it feeds the fourth route: photos become an import file per card game, with the Cardmarket ID, language and condition in every row. Capture with us, list there. If you only have a few sorted cards, you do not need a file; the by-set route is faster then.
