Listing trading cards on eBay by CSV
Listing single cards on eBay usually means one form per card. For a stack, a file you upload in Seller Hub is faster. This page covers where the template comes from, which columns eBay requires and which ones you fill in yourself.
The file route
Seller Hub has an “Uploads” area under “Reports”. There you download a template for your category, fill it with one row per listing and upload it again. eBay creates the listings from it and then shows which rows went through and which did not.
- Download the template: under Reports → Uploads, for the single cards category.
- Fill it in: one row per listing, the header row stays as it is.
- Upload: choose the file on the same page and check the result.
The template belongs to the marketplace
eBay.com and eBay.de name the same columns differently: the game is “C:Game” on eBay.com and “C:Spiel” on eBay.de. Each marketplace also sets its own IDs for card condition and its own recommended values for game and language, and they change over time. So use the current template from your own marketplace, not one from a forum.
The columns that matter
The single cards template has many columns, most of them optional. The ones with an asterisk are required. The table shows the main ones as eBay.de spells them.
| Column | Content |
|---|---|
| *Action | “Add” creates a new listing. The header of this column also holds marketplace, currency and character set. |
| *Category | The category number. Single cards from trading card games are in 183454. |
| *Title | The listing title, 80 characters at most. Name, set code, number and language usually fit. |
| *ConditionID | The item condition. For ungraded cards 4000 (“Ungraded”), with the card condition in the next column. |
| CD:Kartenzustand | The card condition as one of four IDs, from “Near mint or better” to “Heavily played”. |
| *C:Spiel | The card game as eBay recommends spelling it, such as “Pokémon TCG”. |
| *StartPrice | The price. For a fixed-price listing this is the Buy It Now price. |
| *Quantity | The quantity. |
| *Location | The item location, such as postcode and town. |
| PicURL | The address of an image that eBay fetches itself. No asterisk, but a published listing needs at least one image. |
What you have to fill in yourself
Some required details only the seller knows: the item location, the shipping service and the shipping cost. Enter them once in the template you build your files from, and they are in every file. If a required detail is missing, eBay rejects the row.
The price is your decision
If you prefill the price column from market data, such as the Cardmarket trend, you have a reference value, not a selling price. Buyers on eBay pay different prices, and eBay charges its own fees. So check the column before you upload.
What CardEntry takes on
CardEntry builds the file from your photos. In the settings you create an export profile with its own column template: from the included starter template for eBay.de, or from your marketplace’s template, which you import there. CardEntry takes the valid values for game, language and condition from it and writes them into the file the way your marketplace expects. Required columns it cannot fill are listed when you import. The price column is prefilled with the Cardmarket trend.
Column names, category and condition IDs follow the eBay.de category template for single cards as of 26 September 2026. eBay changes templates and IDs; when in doubt, the template from your Seller Hub applies, not this page. CardEntry is an independent tool with no business relationship to eBay.
