Card, key, next.

By the four hundredth scan what decides the pace is not recognition — it is how often you reach for the mouse. A session can be worked start to finish without one: take the match, set the condition, flip foil and edition, release, next.

Auto-check

Optionally, the unambiguous ones run through on their own: a match is only checked automatically if it reaches at least 98 % confidence and sits 15 percentage points ahead of the runner-up — and the card carries no open flags. Everything else is put in front of you.

From the first photo to the export file.

Five steps, always in this order. Step five stays shut until step three is done for every card — so a half-checked stack never reaches your shop. Tip: open them up.

  1. Card in front of the camera, shoot, next card — processing continues as a background queue while you are already working the next stack. Flatbed scans drop in just as well as a file upload.

    • Rapid scan with a live queue
    • Multi-upload from the file dialog
    • Switch devices mid-session
    FSelect imagesSStart the queue
  2. Every shot comes with the matching cards right next to it: set, set code, card number, rarity and the Cardmarket ID. If none fit, you search by name or number yourself. The decision stays yours — CardEntry does the looking up.

    • Matching hits with a confidence percentage
    • Manual search by name or number
    • Cardmarket prices for every version
    JKSwitch cardEOpen the “Details” tab
  3. The status hangs on the data, not on your memory. If the card, set, Cardmarket ID, condition or edition changes later, that card’s check expires automatically and it reappears in the open list.

    • Check status per individual card
    • Expires automatically when data changes
    • Open and checked cards filter separately
    VMark as checked?All keyboard shortcuts
  4. If a set is missing, an identifier is missing, or a card is still unchecked, the file cannot be created. The reason sits on the button, not in a dialog you have to open first — you see what is holding you up before you click.

    • Locked while cards are unchecked
    • Locked on a missing set or identifier
    • The blocking reason sits on the trigger
  5. If a stack holds Yu-Gi-Oh!, Pokémon and Magic, you get three separate files. Defaults for language, fallback condition, format and file name are saved as an export profile, so the next intake is already set up.

    • A separate file per card game
    • Export profiles saved locally
    • Target format today: TCG PowerTools

The small things that save the stack.

Images are checked up front
Blurry, too dark, resolution too low, or already uploaded once — it says so on the image before you start the queue.
Scan against the reference card
One keypress swaps your photo and the reference image on top of each other. On reprints with identical artwork, that settles it.
Doubtful cards push to the front
Cards with a missing set, a missing Cardmarket ID or an open check move to the top. The unambiguous ones run through at the back.
Capture on mobile, check on desktop
The session belongs to you, not to the device. Switch mid-way, carry on later, nothing is lost.

Before you touch the first stack.

No. CardEntry is an independent tool and is neither operated nor endorsed by Cardmarket. It matches your cards to Cardmarket products and their price references and builds an export file from that for the rest of your selling process.

Not for CardEntry. Capturing, checking and downloading the CSV works without one. If you then want to import that file into TCG PowerTools, you currently need a paid subscription there — that is a third-party product and not included in CardEntry. Further export targets are planned, but none of them is decided or scheduled yet.

Yu-Gi-Oh!, Pokémon and Magic: The Gathering. A stack may be mixed — the export splits automatically by card game into one file per TCG.

A session can be interrupted. You stop mid-way and carry on later at the same spot, on a different device if you like. Active and archived sessions stay separate.

They are Cardmarket references for each version — average, low and trend price, for foil and non-foil, with the date they were taken. Explicitly reference values independent of your card’s condition. CardEntry values nothing and sets no selling prices.

Credits instead of a subscription. One credit processes one card image, and credits never expire. New accounts start with 500 free credits; after that, packages start at €9.99 for 3,000 credits.

Still unclear who does which part of the work? CardEntry and TCG PowerTools compared.
